Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have been an on and off player of almost every games workshop game out there. My favorite by far is 40k. I have tried almost every army and always find myself going back to space marines. My very first version of old beaky marines was blue devils. At age 13 I had never heard of duke university and when I was told about duke's mascot I stopped playing marines and went to eldar. I always wanted my armies to be unique. When next I wanted to play marines, I went through all of my old white dwarfs and rulebooks. I found my inspiration in the old compendium. The battle of badab. Mostly led by the Red Scorpions, a lot of chapters fought in that war. Their color scheme was black and yellow. I painted up one guy and didn't like the result. It was just too dull. So I tried orange instead of yellow and it popped. I built my army and took it to the 1998 and 1999 grand tournaments. Placed ok. Better than average. Then my friends informed me that forge world had come out with red scorpion models. Instantly my army felt tainted. At tournaments, my opponents would say" they don't look like Red Scorpions". I toyed around with other space marine codexes. I ended up liking the Blood Angels. They really fit my play style. Thus the Blood Scorpions were born. I will put befor and after pics up soon.
